Ones too many a thousand ain't enough

Wow talk about a come down. The night I got back from the hospital my eyes popped open about 1-am.

Bones was still at his computer, I sat on the kitchen floor and stared at him for an hour. I was wide awake Even Roxy was crashed out, I just stared at the wall for the longest time. But I am back today with a vengeance. I have heard that some humans keep their dogs on these type of drugs because the dog is so hyper. They give them zanax valium and prozac everyday. To me that is crazy if the dog is hyper the dog is hyper why mess with his personality live with it. Would you do that to a human? Well turns out they also do that to humans so if you have a kid and it seems a little hyper the doctor will give them the same drugs the dog takes. Wow no wonder you bipeds are so confused. If you can not handle the way someone is you just dope them up until you can. Me Im staying alert and digging every sensation that comes my way.

Today for instance the sky was steel blue, the lake was steel blue, and the ocean ,yea thats right was steel blue. Bones tells me the places we get to see every day are so beautiful that people spend lots of money to come here, just to walk on the beach, or look at the lake ,so we are really lucky to be here. I thought for a while bones was rich because my new  life is filled with the simple pleasures. I have just realized our richness is not in gold or possessions but in the love we have around us. Roxy has spent a few days here and I know I say it a lot but I love her. I sense that this situation is finally one where people don't just give you away if they can't handle you anymore.

Speaking of lucky dogs, I met a dog today on the beach, a german shepherd all skin and bone. The guy he was with seemed to have no idea how to play with a dog.
He would throw the ball and if the dog did not chase it he would throw the ball up in the air and try to catch it himself (he missed every time ). We felt sorry for the dog and went down to find out what the story was. Turns out the dog was a rescue and the guy was a friend of the owner. Bones ask if he could play with the dog. He ( bones ) tossed the ball and Roxy and I and the shepherd ran after it. The dog was totally cool he wanted to play and be chased he was just so happy to be with other dogs. He knew exactly what I wanted I wanted him to run so I could chase him and nip his heels. He loved it. He was a swimmer and went much deeper in the water than I desire. We had a great time and I hope to see him again. Bones thought may be the human was not all there. I am not sure what that meant he seemed to have all his limbs and his head was on his shoulders.

Bones has been on the wagon for 30 years I have never seen this wagon but he said that if he fell off it would roll over him and that would be the end of it. He uses the quote in the subject to explain the situation. I still don't get it.

So to all you hyper dogs out there, I hope you are lucky enough to have a human that can deal with who you are and not try to make you who they want you to be.

Stay alert  look around and smell the everything, life is short make the most out of it.

  1. I'm so happy that you're doing well, Cash. I was having dinner at a little bar restaurant on the beach here in Belize and a dog that looked EXACTLY like you (but with a tail) ran past me on the beach. He looked happy, but he probably wasn't near as lucky or loved.

  2. Oh, I almost forgot! Cash--there was a CAT on the beach! Apparently here in Belize there's different rules than in the States.
