Cash's Log: Star date 21st Century
Roxy spent the night again. It was great fun. She wanted to play fight last night ,but I was not quite healed enough yet. I bared my teeth and put on my meanest look and let her know I was not ready.
Morning came quickly, Bones and I tried to sleep in but Roxy had other plans.
She has her own alarm system.
First she chomps her teeth together—open close, open close, over and over again.
Bones calls it the alligator.
If that doesn't work, she dumps the trash and drags it through the house.
If that fails, she simply barks at a pitch so high and loud no one can sleep, let alone think.
Bones threatens to rip her face off, but I don't think he would.
My face is a little better again today, although my nose is still running. I think it is because the bones are dissolved from the fungus in my right nostril. I have aspergillosis if I haven't told you yet.
I let Bones rub my head again.
I told you about my excitement at getting to see Megan and her people, her mom, dad, brother and her dog baby.
It was super fun I felt well enough to partake in the activities.
Baby is huge. He has something called the wobbles and has trouble walking and standing, but he still has a great spirit.
I tried to get him to wrestle, we pretend growled and played as hard as we were able. I can relate to him, other humans would have given up on him. He and I are pretty lucky.
He has a nice back yard with a giant pond filled with water.
I could see my reflection looking back at me it was fascinating.
He also has lots of toys.
I found one that looked like a duck and when you bite it it made a noise like a duck.
I got on one of the pool chairs and played with it for a long time.
It was the first time I have been able to shake my head from side to side in and bite down on something at the same time since I can't remember.
It was a blast and the humans were very amused at the act I put on. You could say I quacked them up.
Roxy found a tennis ball, a feat she can perform almost anywhere. Mark and Matt and Susan tossed it for her. She is tireless, I love her energy.
Megan got to shoot the white goop down my throat and I got to spit it back on her.
Before I left, I licked Baby on his head and ears to let him know, I understand his pain, and to thank him for sharing his yard, toys, and the love of these wonderful people.
I could taste his love and I think he could feel mine also.
Later that night at Bone's house there were loud booms for a long time.
Roxy barked nonstop until Bones convinced her it was not the end of the world, although it sounded like it.
I of course was unafraid and unfazed by the onslaught of explosions and people screaming and yelling ( well maybe I was a little upset).
It seemed to go on forever, we thought many people must be pounding on the doors and windows. Then it got quiet as if it never happened.
Just when we thought it was over, a series of smaller explosions continued into the night. We all went to bed late.
All in all a fun filled day with good people good pooches and lots of love.
